Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, you can tell Mónica about the situation without sending reports.
Ask on WhatsAppDo we need a diagnosis before starting?+
No. Mónica works with children, teenagers and adults with or without a diagnosis. Support can begin with the situations you want to understand or improve.
What is an individualised educational support plan?+
It is a practical roadmap based on the person’s strengths, needs, settings and priorities. It organises goals and strategies that can be used in everyday life.
What does the main plan include?+
It includes an initial conversation, a context review, one home visit, one additional school, group or relevant-setting visit, functional goals, practical strategies, and a written plan explained to the family.
Can you observe my child at home or at school?+
Yes. With the appropriate consent, Mónica can observe the setting and coordinate with the school so that strategies are consistent and realistic.
Do you work directly with schools?+
Yes. Mónica offers sessions, observation, guidance and coordination with schools and other education settings, within the agreed scope and with the necessary consent.
How is educational support different from clinical psychology?+
Educational and behaviour support addresses practical goals involving learning, communication, routines, independence, participation and the environment. It does not replace medical or clinical psychological assessment or emergency care.
Do you offer autism testing or diagnosis?+
No. Mónica has worked in diagnostic centres, but she does not currently provide testing or diagnosis. Her private service focuses on educational and behaviour support for diagnosed and undiagnosed people.
Do you work with teenagers and adults?+
Yes. Support is adapted to each person’s age, communication, setting and priorities, including teenagers and adults with special needs.
Can parents or caregivers attend without the person?+
Yes. Sessions can focus on family and caregiver guidance, direct work with the person, or a combination of both.
How do group courses work?+
Interest is registered first. Dates and content are released around needs shared by the community. Each course is planned over ten weeks with one 90-minute session each week.

The service is primarily based in Salou and also serves Tarragona, Reus, Cambrils, Vila-seca, La Pineda and Vilafortuny depending on the type of support.
